§ Mr. Peter ReesIncome tax relief amounts to about £450 million. This estimate is provisional and subject to a wide margin of error. It has been calculated on the basis set out in the Inland Revenue's note to the General Sub-Committee of the Expenditure Committee—second report 1977–78, appendix 15.
