§ Mr. Heddleasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether, in view of inflation and the Government's decision to cancel the 1982 rating revaluation, he will consider amending section 37 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 adequately to protect those tenants who seek compensation should their landlord object to a new tenancy under section 30(1) of that Act.
