§ Mr. Heddleasked the Attorney-General when he expects that the review by the 11W Law Commission into certain aspects of the divorce laws, including time limits in divorce, nullity of proceedings and the grounds for divorce, will be published.
The Attorney-GeneralIt is not possible to predict when the Law Commission will publish its final recommendations on these matters, at least until the Commission has considered responses to the consultative working papers which it may be expected to issue, in accordance with its usual practice. Work on the power of sale is well advanced and my noble Friend hopes that a report may be published later this year. The Law Commission hopes to publish working papers on the time limits and jurisdiction about Easter 1980. It is not possible to make any useful predictions on other matters.
