§ Viscount Cranborneasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what further increase is being made to the cash block for Vote XI 1, Health and Personal Social Services, England, 1979–80, to cover the excess costs of pay awards.
§ Mr. Patrick Jenkin£141,735,000, which will increase the block total from £5,097,716,000 (Cmnd. 7604) to £5,239,451,000. The winter Supplementary Estimates published yesterday take account of the increase announced in Cmnd. 7604 and part of the present increase.
