§ Mr. BrittanThere is no specific offence of vandalism; the information available relates to offences of criminal damage. Figures for the years before 1975 are not available. The number of prosecutions for criminal damage in Wales since 1975 could be obtained only at disproportionate cost, but the number of persons found guilty of such offences since 1975 has been published in the annual publication "Criminal Statistics, England and Wales"—tables 3(a) and 7(a) of the volume for 1978, Cmnd. 7670.
