§ Mr. KingWe intend to develop, in consultation with the local authority associations, new methods of assessing expenditure requirements to coincide with the introduction of the new block grant system in 1981–82. At this stage I cannot say what form such methods may take.
§ Mr. Joseph Deanasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what effect the decision outlined in his written answer on Friday 16 November relating to the rate support grant settlement will have on local authority housing revenue accounts and council rents in general.
