Mr. Rooker

asked the Secretary of State for Trade how many companies, limited by guarantee and without share capital, are registered at Companies House.

Mr. Eyre

Precise information could not be obtained without disproportionate cost. Estimates suggest that there are between 6,000 and 7,000 companies in this category out of a total of more than 676,000 companies on the active register.

asked the Secretary of State for Trade on what dates St. George's Elizabethan Theatre Ltd. and Blessingwell Ltd. were registered at Companies House; and if he will list the original and current directors.

St. George's Elizabethan Theatre Ltd. was incorporated on 18 April 1976 in the name of Elizabethan Theatre Ensemble Ltd. The name was changed on 10 February 1970. The first directors were: A. G. H. Murcell, R. F. Duncan, D. A. Kelsey, G. Flint-Shipman.
