§ Mr. Austin Mitchellasked the Prime Minister pursuant to her answer on 26 October, in what way it would infringe the principle of collective responsibility to give further details of Cabinet committees and sub-committees.
§ The Prime MinisterUnder the principle of collective responsibility, all members of the Government are jointly responsible for all the Government's policies and decisions. The publication of details of Cabinet Committees and sub-committees would tend to imply that Ministers shared responsibility only for decisions in Committees of which they were members.
