§ Mr. GoodhartThe Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland is in daily contact with the Housing Executive and I frequently meet the chaiman and vice-chairman of the Executive to discuss major issues of policy. I have initiated a review of the control which the Department exercises over the Executive. In addition, I am encouraging the Executive to complete its internal reorganisation which will help to improve the services provided at local level.
