HC Deb 19 November 1979 vol 974 cc49-50W
Mr. Robert Atkins

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what consideration he has given to the effects of industrial disruption or strikes on the part of civilian employees in defence installations.

Mr. Speed

My right hon. Friend is studying the lessons learnt from the series of industrial disputes which have affected defence establishments during the last 16 months, and is considering how best to avoid a recurrence of such troubles and to limit the impact of any industrial action in the future.
