§ Mr. WhitelawI have no powers relating to the operation of security firms. The control of mergers is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade. The only information readily available about the number of persons employed by security firms is that published in February in the Home Office discussion paper on the private security industry.
