§ Mr. Georgeasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will postpone his decision on the Polaris replacement until after the Select Committee appointed by this House to consider defence matters has had an opportunity of considering the question, and until after the matter has been fully debated in Parliament and by the public at large.
§ Mr. PymSo far as a debate is concerned, I am, of course, at the disposal of the House; but it is, I understand, a question of finding time in a very full Parliamentary programme. The House does, however, already have a good deal of relevant information at its disposal as a result of the evidence submitted earlier this year to the Defence and External Affairs Sub-Committee.
