§ Mr. Ralph Howellasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what savings in kitchen staff, mid-day supervisors and administrative staff he expects to achieve as a result of the proposed changes in regulations concerning the school meals service.
§ Dr. BoysonThe proposed legislation will enable LEAs to reduce expenditure by cutting the production cost of meals and by reducing the subsidy on meals provided.728W The extent to which staff savings are made will depend on the decisions of individual authorities.
