§ Mr. Wyn RobertsCharges for planning applications are intended to recoup a substantial proportion of the costs of development control, which are estimated at about £3 million a year in Wales. The precise level of fees and the date of introduction next year have not yet been settled. Charges for the enforcement of building regulations are estimated to recoup approximately £2 million in Wales.
