§ Dr. McDonaldasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a statement concerning his plans to implement the recommendations of the Simpson report on asbesos.
§ Mr. MayhewThe final report of the advisory committee on asbestos was published on 24 October 1979 by the Health and Safety Commission with an invitation to comment on its contents by 31 January 1980. In the light of comments received and advice from the Health and Safety Commission, I and my hon. Friends will decide on the appropriate action to take in response to the report.
