asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the total amount paid by the Ulster college on the purchase of equipment every year since it was established: and how much has been realised from the sale of unwanted or unused equipment.

Expenditure by the Ulster polytechnic on the purchase of furniture and equipment each year since it was established has been as follows:

These figures cover the initial furnishing and equipping of new buildings, the purchase of computers and equipment needed year by year of both a durable and consumable nature. The sum of £3,327 has been realised from the sale of equipment.

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what has been the cost of repair and maintenance to the buildings and grounds of the Ulster college since 1969.

The cost of repair and maintenance to the buildings and grounds of the Ulster polytechnic since it opened in 1971 until the end of the last financial year was £1.30 million.
