HC Deb 12 November 1979 vol 973 cc389-90W
Mr. McQuarrie

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, further to the reply of 5 November, c. 9, to the hon. Member for Aberdeenshire, East, if, in the light of the case of the oil rig anchored off the village of Boddam in East Aberdeenshire which interfered with television reception to that area, he will arrange for this matter to be investigated.

Mr. Whitelaw

I am looking into this matter and shall write to the hon. Member.

of his departmental files have been released to the Public Record Office since 1 January; and, if so, if he will list them in the Official Report by piece reference number and title.

Mr. Whitelaw

So far this year more than 2,700 documentary items have been transferred by the Home Office to the Public Record Office. To list the individual items as requested would involve disproportionate costs. A summary of these records will be given in the forthcoming annual report of the Keeper of the Public Record Office in accordance with his usual practice.
