Mr. Richard Wainwright

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services. (1) how many people in the areas served by the Kirklees area health authority and the Oldham area health authority are currently awaiting operations at the Royal infirmary, Huddersfield, and the Oldham hospitals;

(2) what is the current average waiting time for minor operations in the Kirklees area health authority and the Oldham area health authority; how many people have been waiting for over six months; how many people have been waiting for over one year; and how these figures compare with the national average.
