§ Sir George YoungThe arrangements for the 1981 census have not yet been finally decided. The estimated total cost of the proposals for England and Wales which were published by the previous Administration in Cmnd. 7146 is £451 million—at 1979 survey prices—over the years 1977–78 to 1985–86.
