From 2.30 I and my ministerial colleagues answered questions in the House, and at 3.30, after Prime Minister's questions, I made a statement on my plans for political progress in Northern Ireland. I then gave a number of interviews to press and television journalists. In the evening I attended a dinner given by the United States ambassador.
