§ Mr. McQuarrieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has any plans to meet the president and the director-general of the Scottish National Farmers Union to discuss the ban on imports of sheepmeat from the United Kingdom by the French Government.
§ Mr. YoungerI had a useful meeting with the president and director-general in Luxembourg on Tuesday of last week immediately after my attendance at the Council of Ministers meeting to discuss sheepmeat. The union representatives expressed support for the Government's view that the French must comply with the ruling of the European Court on sheepmeat imports to France.
