§ Mr. Dixonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will introduce legislation to remove the disqualifications which prevent public service workers from standing for election to the authority which employs them.
§ Mr. KingI do not intend to amend those provisions of the Local Government Act 1972 which disqualify local government employees from election to the council which employs them and appointment to its committees.
