§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when the Northern Ireland commission on human rights is likely to report on the complaint by the hon. Member for Down, North that the Constitution of Northern Ireland Act, as amended, is inadequate to deal with overt discrimination against the Royal Ulster Constabulary and the Army by the Gaelic athletic association.
§ Mr. Humphrey AtkinsThe standing advisory commission on human rights is an independent body and it will be for the commission itself to decide when it wishes to send me advice on any matter. I have no knowledge of any intention by the commission to offer advice on the matter referred to by the hon. Member.
