§ Mr. Patrick JenkinThe Government accept the commitment to pay the Standing Commission's award to nurses and midwives in two equal stages. As my right hon. Friend, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, announced on 22 May, we shall honour the commitment on cash limits made by the previous Government to health authorities.—[Vol. 967, c. 903.]
