Mr. Dewar

asked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will list the compensation paid for each firm incorporated in British Shipbuilders; and if he will publish the names of those firms for which compensation figures have not been agreed and estimate when these outstanding negotiations will be completed.

I cannot say when the remaining cases will be resolved. Two have been referred to arbitration. Negotiations are proceeding on the other outstanding cases and it is not possible to say whether these cases will be settled by negotiation or arbitration.
