§ Mr. Jim Lester, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 22 May 1979; Vol. 967, c. 107], gave the following answer:
I am informed by the Manpowers Services Commission that it is the aim of the youth opportunities programme to help unemployed young people find permanent jobs at the earliest opportunity. I am examining the programme to see if it meets this aim.
