§ Mr. MonroThe owners of the monument, British Waterways Board, have been considering together with the local authority and amenity societies whether and how Bugsworth basin could be restored and developed for continued use, but no scheme has yet been submitted. Officers of the Department are in touch with the authorities concerned and are advising on the archaeological effects of proposals as they are being developed.
