§ 22. Mr. Bruce-Gardyneasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if it is his intention that legislation to re-establish financial support for pupils who qualify for entry into direct-grant schools will make provision for children who qualify to take up places in the autumn of 1979.
§ Mr. Mark CarlisleI would hope that the Government's proposed assisted places scheme would be ready for implementation in the autumn of 1981. How far it will extend on introduction will depend on the resources available at the time.
