§ Mr. PymUnder my overall responsibility for the work of the Ministry of Defence and for the Armed Forces, the Minister of State deals with aspects of defence procurement and the defence equipment programme, Service and civilian administration and the supervision of Ministry of Defence interests in industrial matters. The Under-Secretaries of State for the Royal Navy, the Army and the Royal Air Force are responsible for the day-to-day running of their respective Services and any tri-Service responsibilities that may be allocated to them.
