§ Mr. BiffenThe following table shows the levels of fixed investment—gross domestic fixed capital formation—in the whole economy, by nationalised industries and by the private sector at current prices in each year from 1969 to 1978 inclusive. The estimates for the private sector include very substantial amounts of non-industrial fixed investment, for example, by persons on new private dwellings.
