§ Mr. Richard Shepherdasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the total sum raised in national taxation in the most recent annual period for which figures are available; and by what percentage this would have to be increased if the Treasury accepted responsibility to provide funds required to abolish domestic rates and all rate payments, respectively.
