§ Mr. DeakinsThe Royal Free Hospital does not at present have a head scanner, although one is being acquired. Meanwhile, in order to provide a speedier, more efficient and less painful diagnostic procedure, 125 patients with suspected brain tumours and carcinoma have been treated by the British United Provident Association's scanner at a cost of £12,680.
