§ Mr. Harold WalkerThe question of audited accounts of trade unions and of employers' associations is, a matter for the certification officer. He is, however, required to make a report of his activities during each year to the Secretary of State for Employment who is required to lay it before Parliament and publish it. Chapter 3 of the latest available report—that for 1977—does not indicate any difficulties on the part of the certification officer in relation to audited accounts of trade unions or employers' associations.
