Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Defence when the hon. Member for Fife, Central can expect a reply to his letter, sent to his Department on 4 December 1978, concerning control of the use of The Queen's Flight aircraft; and why there has been such delay in dealing with Members' correspondence.

I regret and apologise for the delay in reply to my hon. Friend's parliamentary inquiry concerning control of the use of The Queen's Flight aircraft.

I am continuing to consider the Ministry of Defence aspects of this matter. I shall reply to my hon. Friend as soon as possible.
