§ Mr. OakesThis was a private report made to the London orchestral concert board. Financial support of orchestras from public funds, and any conditions attaching thereto, are a matter for the Arts Council, the regional arts association and the local authorities concerned. The four 299W major independent London orchestras are self-governing.
