§ Mr. JohnOffences are known to be committed by juveniles only if the offenders are apprehended. The numbers of persons aged 10 and under 17 found guilty or cautioned for offences of violence against the person are published annually in "Criminal Statistics, England and Wales "—table 5.9 of the volume for 1977, Cmnd. 7289.
