§ The Prime MinisterThe effect of high technology, particularly microelectronics, on employment was discussed with representatives of the TUC at the December meeting of NEDC, at which I took the chair. The effect of industrial and technological change on employment formed part of the recent joint statement by the TUC and the Government.
