However statistical resources allocated to the small firms' division in the Department of Industry have been strengthened to make good the shortcomings in the availability of statistical information about small firms in the United Kingdom and it is hoped that in due course a wide variety of relevant information can be disseminated. In all this the Government will be fully mindful of the burden of form filling on small firms.
