HC Deb 27 March 1979 vol 965 cc134-5W
Mr. Arthur Bottomley

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether his attention has been drawn by the North and South Tees community health councils to the deteriorating situation in the hospital and health services on Teesside; and what action he proposes to take to overcome the problem.

Mr. Moyle

I have received no recent communication on this subject from either community health council. I am fully aware of the difficulties in this area and have asked the health authorities to give urgent attention to the problems. I expect to receive a further progress report from the Northern regional health authority in the near future.
