§ Mr. George Robertsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is yet ready to implement the scheme to extend its hackney carriage controls, submitted to his Department by Hamilton district council after due consultation on 12 October 1977, and agreed by his Department to be acceptable on 20 October 1977.
§ Mr. Gregor MacKenzieMy Department's letter of 20 October 1977 was a simple acknowledgement of the district council's wish for proposals to be included 57W in a future general order. A draft order is now with the council for comment, and subject to that I hope it may be ready for signature in the near future.
