§ Mr. Higginsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he proposes to instruct the Board of Inland Revenue to gave in respect of constituents of the hon. Member for Worthing who have made errors in their tax returns, the same tax and penalty concessions as those which the Inland Revenue propose to give to casual workers in Fleet Street who are members of a trade union.
§ Mr. Robert Sheldon, pursuant to the reply [Official Report, 12 March; Vol. 964, c. 76], gave the following information:
The Board of Inland Revenue will continue to deal with offences under the Tax Acts in a manner appropriate to the circumstances of the case.
