§ Mr. Corbettasked the Secretary of State for Trade whether he will now arrange for the overseas trade statistics to distinguish between live animals exported abroad for breeding, experiments, immediate slaughter and further fattening.
§ Mr. MeacherI can give no undertaking to do so, but I will ask my officials, in consultation with other interested Departments, to investigate the feasibility of collecting the statistics in this greater amount of detail and to report back to me.
