Mr. F. P. Crowder

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment on what date the amendments to the ministerial consents to local authorities under the Housing Act 1957 will come into effect.

As I indicated to the House on 7 March, the amendments to the general consents will come into effect at the end of this week: that is to say, from the end of Friday 16 March 1979.—[Vol. 963, c. 1235.]
