§ Mr. John GrantInspections of operating theatres are carried out by inspectors of the Health and Safety Executive as an integral part of their programme of inspections to hospitals.
The health and safety of hospital operating theatre staff is covered by the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. Section 2 is particularly relevant. I am satisfied that the provisions of the Act are adequate to cover the health and safety of people working in hospital operating theatres.
