§ Mr. John SilkinA provisional agreement has been reached on reciprocal fisheries arrangements for 1979 with Norway, the Faroe Islands, Spain and Sweden, although these have yet to be fully confirmed by the Council of Ministers. Quotas have also been established for fishing by member States' vessels in Canadian, United States and international waters in the North-West Atlantic.
256WNegotiations are still taking place with certain African countries with a view to fishermen from member States securing fishing opportunities in the waters of those States.
