asked the Secretary of State for the Environment why the Government have prevented the Nottinghamshire county council from entering into an arrangement with merchant banks to form a development company to make money available for factory building in the county.

much needs to be done in this field. We are also discussing with the National House Building Council the kind of advice which might be given to developers to make private housing more convenient for disabled people generally.

Thus, since I initiated my drive in 1975, god progress has been made; but much more needs to be done still, and I look to housing authorities and housing associations to take full account of these neds in developing and executing their housing programmes.
