§ Mr. Harold WalkerA number of organisations representing employers, in particular the CBI, Engineering Employers' Federation, National Chamber of Trade and National Federation of Serf-Employed Ltd., have indicated to my Department that in their view the employment protection legislation has made some firms reluctant to take on new workers. Such representations are made in a variety of ways at various levels in the Department, both in London and outside, and it is not therefore possible to give a precise list.
