§ Mr. Stephen Rossasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what action is being taken to prevent the possible damage to persons and property in 513W the United Kingdom arising from the break-up of the United States Sky Lab orbiting space station.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesIt is not possible to say where debris from a falling satellite might land until very shortly before the end of its flight. Special advance measures are therefore not practicable. The likelihood of damage or injury being caused by the fall of debris in this country is extremely remote, and the emergency services would be able to deal effectively with the consequences.
