§ 5. Mr. Ovendenasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will introduce legislation to extend to the widows of ex-Service men who retired before 1950 522W below the rank of warrant officer, class I, or equivalent, the entitlement to Service widows' pensions already engaged by the widows of former officers.
§ Mr. DuffyI sympathise with the situation of the widows concerned but, as I have explained on many occasions, I cannot retrospectively extend widows' pensions to them.
