§ Mr. StrangYes. The efficacy of fertilisers is affected by soil pH. My Department's agricultural development and advisory service is very conscious of the need to maintain correct soil pH values and hence the efficient use of fertilisers appropriate to the farming system, and its advice is regularly directed to this end.
